Trip to India

Featured here is an actual gorgeous diamond of Hearts and Arrows. Ideal cut diamonds are most desirable. Each facet is perfectly symmetrical and all angles are equally proportioned. The Hearts and Arrows design allows light to pass through and reflect for optimal brillance and sparkle.

Discussing Gems with kids of Boys and Girls Club

Robert Flude, Gemologist and Co-Owner of our store, spent time with kids of the Boys and Girls Club at Valpo, Portage and South Haven on Monday, August 9th. His presentation on gemstones consisted of a 45 minute discussion on types of stones and their origin, how they are formed, and much more. He brought several rough cut gems and a few small diamonds from U.S., Brazil, Africa and other countries he has had the privilege of visiting. He also talked about gold, copper and how jewelers use these metals to create custom jewelry. Children asked many questions and were very pleased to learn about the fascinating world of gemology.
